Veterinary Technician: The Humane Society of Berks County, Reading and Douglassville, PA, seeks knowledgeable, compassionate technicians to add to our growing practices both Reading and Douglassville offices.
CVT is a plus but not necessary for experienced applicants. We prefer at least 1 yr years experience in anesthesia.
Must be able to lift pets up to 50 lbs +. Must be able to multi-task, have good verbal skills. Must work at least one evening shift a week –flexibility is a plus!!
Must work Saturdays on a rotational basis.
Surgical Technician Duties:
- proficient venipuncture & catheter placement
- induction maintenance, recovery of surgical patients
reading EKG's
- calculating & administering drugs

- patient treatments
- nursing care
- initiating fluid therapies
- performing dental prophies

- Blood withdrawals
Clinical Hours responsibilities:
