Corporate Partners

As an independent, non-profit charity, the Humane Society of Berks County relies nearly exclusively on service fees and direct donor support.  The vast majority of our charitable giving comes from individuals.  However, many local, regional, and national corporations also support our work.  Many provide direct financial support toward special events and campaigns and receive recognition as sponsors.  Others provide vital in kind (product and service) donations and general financial support in large and small ways throughout the year.  As a result, we do not always have an easy and prominent place to express our gratitude and thanks.

The HSBC uses this Corporate Partners web page to recognize some of our closest corporate friends who provide help in large and small ways throughout the year, often asking for no recognition at all.  We know they get asked for support by many other organizations and we are proud that they have chosen to support us.  We thank each and every one!  Please consider supporting the businesses that support us!

Hill's Science Diet provides the HSBC with vastly discounted food for the cats and dogs in our shelter, allowing us to provide top quality nutrition.  They also provide free food to adopters to avoid dietary illnesses related to changing diet and unnecessary adoption returns.

Sly Fox Brewing Company provides great beer and food for our Furry Fridays and special events.  This helps us have the best special events in town and helps the HSBC raise and save even more money- money that can go straight to helping the animals!

Reading Coffee Roasters helps the HSBC make people's days a little better when they visit to adopt by offering them a great cup of coffee.  Reading Coffee Roasters has been a long time friend of the animals and the HSBC.

Moe's Southwest Grill of Wyomissing provides

tasty snacks for our Furry Friday art showings.  Stop in on the 2nd Friday of each month and sample our nacho bar and mini burritos!

The GoggleWorks Center for the Arts and all the artists associated with GW have been instrumental in the HSBC's ability to create, expand and grow events like the Art For Arf's Sake Art Auction, Pints For Pups, and Furry Friday Open Houses & Art Exhibitions.  These events have helped to introduce thousands of people to our mission and have helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the animals.  Our partnership with the arts community is a cornerstone of our recent success and GoggleWorks has played a massive role in strengthening the arts in Berks County.

At the HSBC, we think special events should be fun and we've got quite a few friends who agree.  Barefoot Wine & Bubbly has helped the HSBC to have some of the best and most entertaining events around, without spending charitable funds on the bells and whistles- or the great wine!  Barefoot doesn't just make great wine, they are a dedicated and generous corporate partner and philanthropist.

Bella Pizzelles in Morgantown, PA has been making delicious pizzelles fresh to order for quite some time.  Recently, they've rolled out Puppy Pizzelles, a tasty Italian treat for dogs.  Dogs at the HSBC (and some the staff) can attest to their deliciousness.  Bella Pizzelles will donate $1 of each sale of Puppy Pizzelles to help the animals of the HSBC, starting March 1st, 2010!

The kind folks at Amity Car Smart in Douglassville have been  plowing the lot at the Holly Miller Center every time it snows.  Of course, this winter has been a good one for the white stuff, so they've been helping us quite a bit - and saving us several hundred dollars.  Amity Car Smart's generous donation of time and services means that we can spend that money on the animals and services of the HSBC.

We're still building and adding to this page.

We have many. many more friends to thank!
